dcNewcomer’s Dessert - this is an informal dessert held 4-6 times a year where we’ll enjoy some great sweet stuff and meet new faces!  Various staff and leaders will be there on hand to make personal connections and talk about how they discovered dc!

dc20 [DEEPEN] Do you want to become more like Jesus? dc20 will help you develop the habits you need to jump-start your spiritual growth. It will give you an overview of the three basic spiritual habits every Christian needs in order to grow: daily time with God (prayer and Bible study), giving, and fellowship.  At the conclusion of dc20, leaders will have each participant fill out a Spiritual Gifts assessment survey and return the results to participants next session in prep for dc30.

dcLEAD - period training for those who are ready to lead groups & ministry teams.  This session covers our definition of leadership (ACTIVE follower of Jesus, a SHEPHERD who cares for people, asks WHO ELSE? and GROWS in leadership skills), how to start and facilitate a small group or ministry team and tools for those ministries, etc.

 

 

 



dc10 [DISCOVER] This basic introduction to our church family is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. You’ll learn about our beliefs on salvation, our statements of purpose, and our church’s strategy and structure. You’ll also hear about the history of our church, how to fulfill God’s calling for your life, and the plans for the future of Dallas Church.

At the end of this session, you’ll be given the opportunity to decide whether to complete the membership process by filling out & signing the membership covenant.

dc30 [DO] Did you know that God created you with special gifts intended for his purposes? God didn’t design ministry for just a few – he made each one of us a minister.

At dc30, you’ll learn how all the Spiritual Gifts work and how God can use YOUR God-given spiritual gifts!

dc50 [DESTINY] -  Church planter/pastoral shepherd/staff track.  In this session you’ll discover ways to carry ministry to the next level and pursue God’s calling for your professional life in ministry either at a staff-level, a pastoral shepherding level or even a future church planter!  Few are called to this level due to the responsibility and the weight of such a calling.  dc50 will cover preparation for full-time ministry and next steps for church planter calling, etc.

 

 

 

 

dcBAPTISM BASICS - periodically scheduled for those ready to go “all in” with Jesus and become part of His realm of love!  Easter Sunday is one of those scheduled annually.

AND/OR

dcBIBLE BASICS - 6 session basics of the Bible course for those new to studying and learning the Bible.   Its a great way to jump start spiritual growth and develop a hunger for God’s Word.

dc40 [DISCIPLE] In this session you’ll discover your life mission and how you can be a part of God’s plan to reach out to the world. This class will help you:

  • Develop a personal perspective of the Gospel message
  • Develop your personal story of how God has worked in your life
  • Build confidence in sharing your story
  • Understand how you can begin to be a part of changing the world via engagement in the world around us.  
  • IN the world, not OF the world
  • Meeting needs and intentional conversations
