Dear dc'rs,

It’s been a great but short summer.  God has moved in some big ways and we've seen a number of new families check our church family out on Sundays.  It’s been awesome to see people take the next step in faith through baptism and witness the starting of new families in marriage.  It’s an honor to work in ministry here in Dallas and with the dc family!

As we all start regathering and getting back into the Fall routine, there are a few things I wanted to quickly remind you about:

TONIGHT @ 7:30pm at Byron & Linda Perry's Home (1285 SE Miller) - there's a special dessert for people NEW to our dc family called the 'Newcomer's Dessert'.  It is an informal gathering to meet new people, hear stories and learn about how dc got started and where we're headed.  If you are new or know someone who's visited recently, we'll meet tonight!  Don't miss!

NEXT, we've got a new season of GroupLife starting up and if you are interested in leading or hosting a group, Todd Pendley, our GroupLife Coach will be doing a quick LEADER TRAINING BOOTCAMP this Sunday (Sept 18th) after our worship gathering and the following Sunday (same session twice).  Make sure to clear your schedule for one of those sessions.  For details, contact Todd at  t.pendley@comcast.net!  Our official GroupLife 'expo' will be the first Sunday in October - can't wait!

[DISCOVER] This basic introduction to our church family is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. You’ll learn about our beliefs on salvation, our statements of purpose, and our church’s strategy and structure. You’ll also hear about the history of our church, how to fulfill God’s calling for your life, and the plans for the future of Dallas Church. At the end of this session, you’ll be given the opportunity to decide whether to complete the membership process by filling out & signing the membership covenant.

THIS SATURDAY is a special community-wide school cleanup day including DHS where we meet Sundays.  If you can volunteer for a few hours to help show the school our appreciation, show up with gloves and a smile!  For details, contact Day of Service coordinator Doug at dgouge1@msn.com.

dc10 [DISCOVER] session coming Monday, Sept 26th 6:30-8:30pm at the Dallas Christian Fellowship building (where our offices are at) - 976 Hayter Street.  This is our basics of membership for the dc family to clearly explain who and what our church is.
